Xreveal is a Windows based application similar to AnyDVD that removes restrictions of DVD, and Blu-ray media automatically in the background. Xreveal works in the background to automatically and transparently enable read access of the contents of a movie DVD or Blu-ray as soon as it's inserted into the drive. The DVD/Blu-ray will become useable to your windows operating system and all programs on your computer, such as DVD/Blu-ray backup software like CloneDVD, CloneBD and others, then supporting any DVD or Blu-ray. Xreveal optionally removes region codes, thereby making the movie region free and comfortably viewable on any DVD/Blu-ray player and with any DVD/Blu-ray playback software.

Follow-up to previous review/bug report of 2.7.4

Looks like DVD ripping issue/crash has been fixed in Beta 2.7.4.3
Author is on top of things, quick work. A+

Review by DVDGuy on Jan 19, 2025 Version: 2.7.4.3 OS: Windows 10 64-bit Ease of use: 10/10 Functionality: 10/10 Value for money: 10/10 Overall: 10/10

Just wanted to confirm with the prior users review that 2.7.4 has the same issue on my pc (win 10 64)-- runs for a few seconds and then gives the same error and shuts down. I am a pro user for the software. Went back to 2.7.3 in the meantime

Its also possible the .74 might be in beta even though its listed here as a new version-- I say this because I use the actual software to check for updates and today it still told me I was on the most recent (.73)

Overall great software for ripping and very fair price for lifetime license. They have good communication when (or if) you send them any questions via email. Definitely worth having in your software arsenal

Review by MnZ on Jan 18, 2025 Version: 2.7.4 OS: Windows 10 64-bit Ease of use: 10/10 Functionality: 10/10 Value for money: 10/10 Overall: 10/10

Tried latest 2.7.4 version on Win 10 x64 & Win 11 23H2, both times crashed after only a few seconds of ripping a DVD which worked fine with older version 2.7.3. Uninstalled 2.7.4 and reinstalled 2.7.3 and ripped DVD fine. Looks like this latest release may not be ready for prime time.

Rating by loster on Sep 7, 2024 Version: Xreveal 2.6.9 OS: Windows 10 64-bit Ease of use: 9/10 Functionality: 7/10 Value for money: 10/10 Overall: 10/10

As the release note states, the user is now required to supply their own copy of libdvdvss-2.dll

Place a copy in the Xreveal install directory in Program Files.

Latest version of Xreveal has some nice GUI status dialogs, and a few more bells and whistles Meh!
