- updated x265lib to v4.1 (build 215) from https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265_git, updated cli options
- updated FFmpeg to v6.1.2 (decoding and encoder file writer functions)
- updated compiler to MinGW v12.2
- corrected DisplayAspectRatio (GUI) setting, saving in bitstream (missing extended-sar flag) (codec.c)
- restored bcrypt.dll dependency (in FFmpeg build) (proper file output may require it)

I'm not sure what others mean by "not easy" - by simplification it's just a plugin, you need correct tool to use that. For example VirtualDub. Zero config to work, just install and work :) 10/10 - most used settings are available via GUI, the rest can be set by command line edit box.

Not easy to use, and slow as hell even with fast CPU, but great quality results at much lower bitrates. H266 VVC AV1/AV2 will be incredibly slow too no doubt and offer much greater compression, but I think for archiving just use H264 high bitrates or MakeMKV to save you time and a headache!

Ease of use quite difficult for newbies I suppose, but much easier than command lines. Water torturing encoding speeds compared to h264, so not many going for 2 pass unless high spec processor, but good 1 pass settings exist. Nice to get this VFW and great work by developers.
