This is an excellent commandline encoder for mp2 audio - very useful for CVD/(S)VCD/DVD etc..
It can be used as part of the audio engine in TMPGEnc.
A basic but functional GUI for tooLame is available here:

For TMPGEnc user,
The version of tooLAME 02l (2-Mar-2003) does not generates audio files compatible with TMPGEnc plus. Until tooLAME and/or TMPGEnc fix the problem, continue using tooLAME up to version 02k.
