So I've recently gotten into using "Vhs to dvd" programs to record video off of my old game systems on my computer. I bought a piece of hardware made by "Gigaware" and the default software it came with is pure junk. The resolution on the videos is crap and you can't really increase the resolution to something modern.

Then I tried Debut Video Capture, which worked okay, but sometimes the sound wouldn't work. Then I found this gem. The price may certainly put some people off. But if you're looking for software that will be compatible with a wide range of hardware video capture solutions, then this is the best option for you.

Not to mention it comes with a custom version of MainConcept's mpeg tools which usually retails by itself for hundreds of dollars. This allows you to record from your video capture device in sd or even hd mpeg format.

Highly recommended.

Try it. Simple, ugly and old.

In years 2k its a good software but nowdays useless for me.

AmarecTV is superior in every aspect or function. No spend $1 cent for it.
