Perfection! Superb drivers!
Makes possible your cheap bt8xx(x) based card, do wonders!
The latest version improves the picture quality and the sharpness.

Tested on: Hauppauge Win TV Primio FM, Win TV GO, Hauppauge WINTV PCI, Kworld KW-TV878pro, crypto TV, Chronos Video Shuttle (very poor card - stay away) and I/O Magic DR-PCTV100 (the bt878 model).

The new version is also lighter. Now for example, it is possible to grab realtime to mpeg 2 with mainconcept at 704 x 576 framesize with a duron 1200 (!). Before, only 1/2 D1 was possible with the same set up.

A "must"!

PS: Those drivers are for bt8xx(x) cards only. Don't test them on nvidia, Ati or other non bt8xx(x) cards, 'cause you probably harm your set up!
Also, I can't understand, how it is possible to vote "Value for money" to 1, while those drivers are freeware...

I have an ATI TV Wonder card so I thought I would give this driver a go. After I installed the driver I launched Power VCR and the picture was terrible. Don't know what went wrong, but I had to revert back to my ATI WDM drivers.

I tried installing this onmy PC with a LeadTek Winfast 2000 XP card and the program installing the driver crashed causing the PC to reboot midway during the driver install. I say reboot loosely because the PC would not post properly at all afterwards!

I then was forced to manually unplug my PC to be able to reboot at all, after which my TV Card had no drivers installed and was unrecognized by Windows. I repeated the process with the same dismal results. Reverted back to latest Winfast drivers successfully.

Good luck to anyone using this package...

This driver is wonderful, I'm using it with an old AverMedia TV98 tuner/capture card. Being able to sharpen video through the driver is worth the download in itself and is indespensible for VHS to DVD conversion. Just before I found this I was going to purchase a newer more up to date card with a better chipset...not any more! The improvement in capture quality, smoothness and sharpness has been at least 50 percent. Why bother buying something new when this driver injected new life into my trusty old tuner card? A big THANK YOU to whomever wrote this.

Absolutely vital if the drivers that come with your capture card aren't up to the task.

I own an ATI TV Wonder VE (value edition) and the WDM drivers that come with the card do not allow capturing of greater than 352x240 with virtualdub or iuvcr. I found these drivers thanks to the wonderful people on the boards here at dvdrhelp.com and have never looked back. I can now capture at at full D1 720x480 HuffyUV with 0 dropped frames. I would drop 50+frames an hour at vcd resolution with the ati drivers.

The only reason it only gets a 9 out of 10 in ease of use is because it didn't automatically detect the correct tv tuner in my card and I had to manually set it. Not a big issue though considering I don't use coax, I only use svideo..
