Fantastic tool. Many thanks for writing this it solved a huge problem I was having with a VHS source which was causing VirtualDub to drop a large number of frames.
It hasn't solved the frame dropping but at least the audio is in sync with the video now!
Pros: works great, easy to use.
Cons: only available for VDub 1.5.4 - could do with an updated version compatible with the latest version. But hey, it's free so you can't complain.

Great tool if you are looking to not drop frames. The problem I had with it is the audio is always off. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it to. Either drop no frames with audio out of sync or drop a few frames with the audio in sync.

When using separate video and audio capture cards, captures will drop or skip a frame every three or four minutes. Andreas Dittrich engineered a solution to eliminate frame skip and frame drop by sampling the audio data at a rate phase-locked to the video capture clock. I have been using this superb modification to this superb utility for ten months. Get VirtualDub Sync to eliminate dropping even one frame during capture.
