After several attempts to burn there were no useable CDs. Now it won't open. Mac spinning wheel appears. "Roxio not responding" on force quit. I can't even open it to give a version number.

Another favorite in my toolbox for a long time, Toast can author and burn DVDs,
VCDs, Audio DVDs, etc by way of simple drag and drop of your content
into the window, name the project and click "burn".
If you want to just get episodes of your favorite shows onto DVD,
this is the tool for you.
If you want to just back up data off your HD to make room for more stuff,
this is the tool for you.
If you want to take a movie file you got from a friend and burn it onto DVD,
and don't want the whole head scratching of trying to figure it out,
but just want it to be playing it on the DVD Player in a couple of hours*,
then this is the app for you.
Well worth the price, well worth having in your toolbox.
* video must be Quicktime compliant to allow for easy transcoding into DVD format.
may require use of a third party codec such as Perian to ease transcoding.

Highly recommending Mac CD/DVD Burning Software, outstandig functions and finally added SVCD creation Support with extended VCD Support (Menu). Really worth the money !! Very easy to use. Comes with a lot of very useful tools like Cover-Print-Software and Sound enhancement (i.e. scratch remover) / direct capture Software.
