Thank you for your review, Gripweed. If I was to really nit-pick, I can’t understand how a free program can get an 8/10 rating for “Value for money”, it’s free! Even the worse program in the world would get a 10/10 for “Value for money” if free would it not?
A couple of the programs you mention are paid software, not free, probably an unfair comparison, that aside, let me enlighten you.
TUBE4 does not download anything, it’s just a front-end for ‘yt-dlp’. If you think my program is slow then it’s not my program, it’s ‘yt-dlp’.
That aside, YT-DLP is a well-respected program which gives many people great results. It’s very fast, over a hundred times faster for some videos compared to the older, and unsupported, ‘youtube-dl’.
I can personally download 2+ hour videos from ‘YouTube’ in less than a couple of minutes.
If you need help with your download problem then please go over to the forums for help.

I was rooting for this one since it had such a unique design but it didn't live up to my hopes. The main problem with it is like a lot of other generic streaming downloaders is that it is slow. It shouldn't take almost as long to download a video as it takes to stream and view a video. A half hour show shouldn't take 25 minutes to download. Other programs such as Tubedigger, IDM, and FireDM have no problem downloading videos in a very few minutes. It obviously can be done so why have so many developers not been able to figure out how to do it?
