Good quality encoder which exposes all available options and metadata of the AC-3 format. The quality might not be the best, compared to Dolby encoders, but is sufficiently high for most applications where a bitrate can be bumped a notch higher. And Aften is much easier to use.
I had troubles running the latest versions on Windows XP, and reverted to v4.5.
With "Start of stream padding" disabled, I am able to re-encode parts of AC-3 streams with matching parameters, and merge them back with the untouched originals. Very useful to apply fadeouts around cuts.

The tool can be a little quirky in Advanced mode and not encode if you set something wrong. Once you get a preset that works, though, it is accurate, fast, and 99% of the Dolby Toolset (short of Timecode embedding). The only issue I'm having now is using the MUX files in CLI mode. I'm using it with AVS files in CLI mode, but that slows it down as well as doesn't allow it to run on my 64-bit rig.
Thank you for making such a great tool!
