i love this program. unfortunatly i never found it until after i bought a dvd burner so i never had it for when i was making plain old vcd's. i give it a 10/10 for everything except functionality for just one small reason. for quite a while now on the authors website there has been a message that vcd on dvd output will be added. this is what i am waiting for so i can output a 1 disc xvcd mpg with DVD audio in the one step without editing myself later. this will be a great feature WHEN it finally happens even though i normally just burn dvd to dvd sometimes it is good to backup some episodes to a compact format still viewable as a dvd. lets hope this new version comes out before i move onto the next format to replace dvd. overall a GREAT app.

I have tried almost all VCD conversion software, and I keep getting back to Easy VCD. This software is great. In the ease of used and in the output quality. I did stumble into a problem, when the "infamous" 16 Bit MSDOS window keep popping up and shutting down the program. I said infamous because I found that a lot of people have the same problem and no answer is given by the author of this program. Anyway, I did found the solution to the problem and the software work wonderfully again.

I have been using this software for a long time.It is the best program of this type on or off the market. The auther does not guarentee it to work with any program other than Windows XP,but I have found it to work just fine with Windows ME.I hope (he /she?) will consider up dating it to have a source other than just a DVD player.eg.Other VOB files or MPEG files. It would be nice to get some home videos on one disk.

It should have been a great program but the sound is out of sync and the chapter point is wrong.

I was very happy with version 1.14e, but when 1.15a came out, it worked once for me, then refused to work anymore. I tried several fixes but they were no good and the author has not updated this tool for quite a while. So far this tool has failed on two different machines, each one with the symptom of not scanning the DVD. The author has not answered any of my emails. If this bug could be fixed, I would definitely score this one higher, but if it doesnt work, its not much good.

I've tried many of programs, some do this some do that, but all in

100% in all cases!
Multi-Angle movies, no prob, xvcd perfect job on 1 disc every time.
And its free!
Quit pulling your hair out and start using this, you'll be pleased!

Awesome lil tool!! Been using it for about a year now, ripped many DVD to vcd and svcd. After trying many different methods of DVD ripping, this is the only one that worked all the way to the end. I will not even try anything else any more!

Works great for XVCD (which is required in order to tailor the bitrate down to fit "x" number of CDs) but TMPGenc (which is included with the software) raises a flag about having been used for over 30 days so the ability to do XSVCD (mpeg2) is crippled. YMMV, of course.
Otherwise, the XVCDs look great.

I have found this program to be pretty good, can usually rip a dvd and have the mpeg files ready to burn to vcd in about 3-4 hours. Only problem i have had is when vstrip finishes it goes to dvd2avi for about 2 seconds, then comes up with an error message to say that dvd2avi has caused an error in the system and has to close, but all i do is close it anyway and easyvcd keeps going and produces every time.
