if I had any money I'd donate but I can't tell you guys how many big bad apps I've installed and tested , only to find out that they EVERYTHING except create dynamic chapters . This app worked EXACTLY as advertised......BUT...you must read and follow the instructions or you will be frustrated ...

Simple, clean, straightforward. Des what other apps don't. And in 2023 under win 11 still works.
Does the job and also is useful for metadata editing.
Thanks for this piece of software.

Used for adding chapters to MP4 files.
Download & install was very rapid.
Loaded Drax - open file - select All Files - select file - Open.
I then loaded the video into AvideMux to determine the precise time of each chapter start.
Copied the time, and pasted it into the Drax 'Add Chapter' dialogue box.
Then added the chapter title.
Repeated for each chapter, then saved.
If it won't save, close any open instances of the video, then save.
That's it!
Just a few minutes from clicking download, to having chapters in the video.
Simply excellent!

It works exactly as advertised. It's fast, simple and basic. This version is 12 years old, but I miss this type of simple app. I just wanted to thank the developer for sharing their tool online. It's rare I get a chance to thank anyone for all the free stuff available online.

In the past I used Nero Video to add chapters to my MP4's (using a blu-ray menu system). That was a very slow process. Now I export my markers from Davincy Resolve, fiddle somewhat with the data (so the format becomes 00:00:00.000) and add the chapters within seconds.

This is a great little piece of software. It does exactly what it's designed to do which is to put chapters into (or edit existing chapters) in an m4v (or mp4) video file. If the chapter position require adjustment you simply open the file in Drax again and edit the position of offending chapters. You can also save the chapters as a text document and import chapters from such a text document. [I can't quite see how it can damage a file as a previous reviewer claimed, but if that is your worry I suggest making a copy of original video before working on it]

This tool is absolute crap. Not only useless (that would be merely normal)... it is HARMFUL!
Once opened the movie, added the chapter list, saved it and... the resulting movie was CORRUPTED! Unable to be opened with any other video player or editor. My fault I've been working on the original movie, not a copy, so I've been overwriting the original one. BEWARE!

Does what it says on the tin and nothing more. It's a basic single-purpose tool - and there's nothing at all wrong with that.
