Does not work at all.

Review by vato76 on Jul 27, 2023 Version: 1.06 OS: Windows 11 64-bit Ease of use: 1/10 Functionality: 1/10 Value for money: 10/10 Overall: 1/10

Needed to make DVD sourced mpg file 4:3 instead of 16:9. Despite changing it to 4:3 in DVDPatcher, the resulting file still has 16:9 metadata preventing it from loading as 4:3 in the apps I want to use. Even when hitting "Patch Entire File" option.

Useless app.

Could auto select the properties of the input file by default but it's great for fixing the incorrect mpegs (max bitrate specified is incorrect the actual bit-rate is compliment) that one of my dvd recorders generates.

Works brilliantly. Only grip is that there's no real help file with it.

Exactly what I needed to allow DVB-T mpeg2 streams to write to DVD with Ulead DVD Workshop.

Only need to patch the first header to make UDWS think the mpeg2 file is compatible.

Allows you to edit mpeg2 bitrate header value from the 15k or so sent in DVB-T to something more friendly like 8k.

This is really a fanatsic tool to make DVB- streams DVD compatible without any quality loss.
Reencoding is not required anymore.

made a post earlier about program not working correctly and causing macro blocks at right hand edge of screen, well the problem was caused by me forgetting to repatch the final headers back to svcd resolution once it had been authored.this program is so easy to work and makes the job so simple.

found that any svcd files which had been patched always contained serious artefacting along the right hand side causing constant macro blocking.the program itself is easy to use apart from that

Fantastic. A free tool what will patch Mpeg 1 & 2 files, you can shove a few (S)VCD films on 1 DVD without any reencoding.

Remember to resample audio to 48000 if needed.
