Kinda pricey, but will get the job done for HDV & DV video footage. You can view and burn in most of the metadata from the digital file. Also, Capturing footage can be done directly with this program.
Settings the location for burn in takes a little trial and error since it's set to x/y% of screen to determine burn in site.
Only 2 output containers - AVI or WMV (with setting options)
There are a few cheaper options that are more limited in scope, which may suit your needs if you have a limited budget
