Like a lumpfish in that it is very powerful. Also like a lumpfish in that it looks pretty stupid and ugly. Way too good but using it will take years off your life

The program works fine, A bit buggy, but that's to be expected from a program from the 90s.
Most people here just don't know what they're doing, and I find that funny, LOL..
Most issues you're having can be solved by just googling around

I'm using AviUtl for UtauView. It's useful, and also the software IS NOT fully x86/32. It supports x64 too.

Hi. I thought "XtraPack" meant readymade...
Not AT ALL, in fact (so, after the waste of time that "comes with it" and) AT LAAAST!,
I was — finally — able to rencode videos with none of the aggravatingly stubborn error msg's : "Encoding failed"!.., using the plugins, to output "AVC H.264 (and HEVC.265) + .aac .mp4's"
(that is, in order to avoid an intermediate ".avi" file, to be later converted to ".mp4" using "Avidemux" or "ffmpeg" standalone).
The error was due to: trying to recode the audio stream, using "ffmpeg.exe" (built-in "XtraPack").
Although I use command lines to "ffmpeg" reencode videos along with their audio stream with no problem at all, WITH "AVIUTL", it's another hell of a story...
I had to add "my own" "neroAacEnc.exe" to the "3rdparty" subfolder ; and even "lame.exe", whenever I want ".mp3" audio instead of ".aac" (also tried to add "faac.exe", but ignored).
[ On some forum, a user advises to install "QuickTime", a component I don't even want to think about, "thx". ]
Not exactly serious, that "XtraPack". And, if copyright problems come in the way ("neroAacEnc.exe"...), users could at least be warned straight "out of the box" — and guided towards a WORKING solution* —, IMHO anyway. Why let them waste so much time?
*Is anybody able to apply the "Please-correct-paths.txt" "advice"?

Although this program doesn't have ALL the features others do, it is definitely the easiest to use. I have tried three other video editing programs (2 of them paid), and this is the one I'm sticking with.

Very nice, pretty powerful for a light program. Would just like to request the capacity to add additional scripts; I tried adding the イージング script but it did not seem to be compatible with this English version.

BEFORE you post here, if you think something is not working, plz post in the AviUtl support thread in the "Editing" section first, or PM me. As of v1.13, x264 and x265 are DL from dropbox, so if you cannot download it, it is your (connection) problem. Same goes for Installer corruption, it is your connection or your PC having issue.
Get the older v1.10 if you are having trouble with installer.
Audio CAN be skipped when rendering. Again, if you don't know how to do it, ASK FIRST IN THE FORUM OR PM ME

This is a perfect tool. The only flaw is, it can't copy or ignore audio stream while exporting via plugin :)

Followed an advice from MaverickTse (see #22 on)
http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/362137-Virtualdub-not-keeping-frame-accuracy-during-cutting-editing
to tackle the same problem OP had.
Mini-Installation chosen because full setup wanted another
100mb on top of the 40mb setup routine already exceeding my
traffic pla for the day.
Works on Windows 10 64bit not mentioned though.
However, no idea what that program does better or new.
The GUI looks like a mixture of Vdub and Avidemux but
missing their vital video function keys in the main window.
Could not establish a more precise key frame
cutting than vdub already offers in the direct stream mode.
You may set new keyframes but you have to remux the whole
film again. Same is already possible in Vdub via full processing
mode.
So I will stick with a buggy small vdub than installing
programs having mainly Google hits in Chinese Google.
Makes me suspicous of a Vdub-Hijacker anyway.
Deinstalled.

Wow! Just wow! Beats Windows Movie Maker and Windows Live Movie Maker in
functionality and stability. The comparison is like a bicycle and a motorcycle.
Beats virtualdub in terms of user interface, functionality, playback speed and stability.
Though lacks virtualdub's direct stream copy and digital stabilization/deshaker plugins.
Does not have virutaldub's 64bit support. AViutl is a 32-bit application.
Beats avidemux in all respects.
Beats VSDC free editor in all respects.
Once you get a basic handle on aviutl, other controls become very intuitive.
The only thing that this is lacking is documentation and a large English user base.
It is available on Windows only.

I just recently tried out this little gem. It's great and has many advanced features that are hidden. You just need to find them. This latest update support direct import of Avisynth scripts which will let it use virtually any video as input. It's a must have tool for video enthusiasts in my opinion.........
