How to Use eac3toMaking the most out of eac3to involves using several external filters. These can be audio decoders and encoders or media splitters and muxers. As eac3to puts quality on top, it uses the best audio decoders available, but since most of them are commercial software, there also freeware alternatives (usually of lower sound quality though). Depending on what is the user's goal more or less of the filters below are needed. Link http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Eac3to/How_to_Use Sections Video articles |

Importing selfmade menus to episode DVDs done with DVD ShrinkThere are several ways to do this and so I'm only explaining a straightforward way doing it with DVD Shrink. However, first you gotta make up your mind concerning the structure of your menu. I for one am perfectly happy with a simple menu that only allows me to jump to each ep since I can switch languages and jump chapters during playback with my remote more conveniently. If you do fancy language and chapter selection menus you must generate more complex dummy assets instead. I might cover this in a future guide, in this one I'm dealing only with a simple menu. Merge previously split DVDs with DvdReMake ProIn this guide we will show how to merge two DVD disks which were created when one DVD9 was split into two DVD5 disks. Of course splitted disks had menus and we would like to keep menus (chapters selection, etc) in merged disk. Just to illustrate that DvdReMake can handle multiangle DVDs we will use multiangle disk (StarWars Episode II: "Attack of the Clones") as an example. MSU Lossless Codecs ComparisonThe name of this video codec category declares full quality losses absence - the decompressed video stream should be completely identical to original. Output quality is same for all codecs. Absolute absence of losses is a very strong requirement, therefore it is often hard to achieve compression ratios above 3:1. Some of the tested codecs have an opportunity of work in "lossy" mode; it allows to reach considerably higher compression degree with rather small losses of quality. However, only "fully lossless" mode is considered in the current comparison. The only parameter of comparison is the compression level.
