First disk burned fine the first time. Then had to re-insert several times to get the disk recognized. After 5 burns, it was a coaster. The 2nd-4th disks got burned once before being coasters. The 5th one couldn't even be recognized at all.
The label says 1X-2X but the disks themselves only say 2X. The media info only shows 2X.
Memorex tech support agrees the media is defective and will probably send me new ones by RITEK. We'll see...
Memorex used to have quality media and a good reputation. Seems now they only have a reputation -- and that's going downhill.

Will only work if a total reformat is done and then not all of the time. Seems to loose the data after about 30 days, in other words disks that were freshly written work but later will not read.

Bought a 5 pack to do all my testing on. Media has work flawlessly. I have burn one of them at least 100 times and still works great.

These are trash! They stay readable after writing for just long enough to do a verify. A week or two later, both DVDInfo & Nero see them as blank (interestingly, the media code is also no longer visible after writing the first time). Note that this is after writing these 2x rated discs at 1x just the increased reliability: what a joke. I bought them at a premium because I wanted some RW's in a hurry: what a mistake! Never again Memorex, never again TDK.

Can't say I'm impressed with the Memorex DVD-RWs I have. The burn fine on my Plextor PX-708A, But will not play on my Sony DVP-s530d DVD player (Nothing new though, doesn't seem to like playing much of anything...). They will play fine on the Plextor drive and my Pioneer DVD 106s drive. Personally For the cost I would expect higher, but at least they are available at common local retailers.
