Thank god others have had problems with this media, I was begining to think it was my setup.
Could only burn at 1x speed. Seemed ok other than that, but do not expect to burn anything at a high rate. This really should be noted on the packaging....

No advertised max write speed. Was able to burn at 1x and 2x using Sony DW-U10A re-flashed with DRU-500A 2.0f firmware. However, when burning at 2x, playback on Sony DVP-S300 deck is quirky. Plays back fine on same deck when burned at 1x.

Total waste of money. out of 10 discs I bought they either did not burn right or did burn but the written part had the same cloudy unburnt pattern near the inside of the disc. I have tried other media and they work fine, so it's not my drive!

I never imagined I could burn so many would-be coasters. Almost every video longer than 3.75 GB will stutter in my standalone Apex 5131. Other media with the exact same data burned on them have not been problematic, including a two-year-old DVD-RW still in use.
Problematic discs still play fine in the computer (P4 1.8 GHz with 384 RAM using a Toshiba SD-R5002 burner and viewing with PowerDVD version 4.0)
I paid I have written Memorex and requested compensation.
