Recorder used: Nec 2500a.
Firmware: 1.07v2 Dual Layer Bitsetting Beta 5 by Herrie
Software: I'm using DVD Shrink 3.1\Nero 6 Ultra for backing up movies and Nero 6 Ultra for everything else. Also works well with DVD X Copy.
Nero CD-DVD Speed shows this disk writing @ up to 8.24x! I have written over 60 discs @ 4x and 6x speeds with great results. For fun I’ve tried burning at 8x, out of 9 disks 8 burned @ 8x and 1 crashed at the very end of the burn. Pretty impressive for 4x rated media!
Printer: Epson R200 Photo Printer
Fantastic results using the Epson R200. I scan at 600dpi and use the best photo setting. The print quality is so good you have to look closely to tell the copy from the original.
As an added bonus these disks are printable to the hub even though the photo doesn't show it.
Playback compatibility: everything I’ve tried them in so far including: Cyberhome CH-DVD 300, Hitachi DV-P533U, Sony DVP-S530U and several others that I don’t have make and model numbers for.
Conclusion: These are the best disks I have used in the 2500a. They record great; Print great, playback in everything I’ve tried them in and they are inexpensive!
Suggestions: Even though these disks have proven to burn @ up to 8x, stick with 4x for the best results.

Started burning @8x when upgraded with hacked FW ver 1.16, no multi-tasking while burning, no overburning. Lucky me? Not one single coaster. Didn't K-probed to PI/PO, then again them movies are playing on them settops, so gives a ppffftt. Not pushing me luck for I have since switched to Riddata(purple cover cakes).

Burns great, but the real issue is the playback of DVD movie backups is pixilated and the movie freezes several times throughout the movie. The point of freezing and pixilation does not change if replayed. All burned flawlessly but I beleive the media, and not the RCA player I was using is causing the bad playback.

Don't buy these! Matrix with LONGTEN code is the worst media!! It will look like it is successful (even Nero verify will work off a Pioneer burner) but you cannot burn movie discs. When you try and play it, it freezes at random times on most DVD set-top players. I have one Aiwa DVD player with major error correction capabilities and I can only play them on there, any other DVD player I play a disc in will skip at random places. If you buy these for movies, you will be sorry.
I bought them from Allmediaoutlet. I don't recommend those guys, they have nasty shipping practices (they don't pad stuff very well)
As an alternative to these crappy discs, get Ritek G04's instead. They work awesome.

Worst friggin' media I've ever used! Bought a 50 pack from www.shop4tech.com in October '03. The first 15 or so were ok on my computer and all set top players. Then I started having problems on the set tops. Movies would skip, freeze, and stop playing, usually toward the last 1/3 of a movie. Finally trashed the last 10 without even using them.
I wrote a good review of the media on shop4tech's web site when I first started using the media, but then submitted a review saying don't buy. Not only did shop4tech NOT post my warning, the SOB's took off my original review. Conclusion: You can't believe ANY REVIEWS ON THEIR WEBSITE. I personally won't be buying anything else from these shysters.

First 25 all burned perfect @ 4x, other 25 had about 1/3 bad burns, and some discs needed to be burned @ 2x. May have been partial bad media, part user/software/etc errors.

I bought 50 of these from Shop-4-tech. So far, 3 out of 4 has turned out to be a coaster. I guess there's a reason why they were less than $1 each. So far I'm averaging $4 per each good disk that is burned. Take my advice and spend the extra money.

Have to agree with Disturbed1...these are pure crap. I bought 100 spindle on a popular online auction site for about $100 advertised as "Guaranteed Grade A" from directshoponline.com and now the dvd layers are starting to seperate. About 1 out of 3 are seperated on the edge and I am concerned about the shelf life of the rest. The "good ones" do burn at 4x and playback fine. Learned I should spend a little more and ask for the manufacturer ID before purchasing from an online auction site!!!

Pure crap. After a month the dye layer is starting to come apart. The discs did complete the burn cycle, but the playback skips and stutters on all players. I had one disc not able to be read by any player or reader.
Princo is actually a better buy, and higher quality.

Got 5 free samples from Shop4tech.com but my Toshiba SD-R5002 doesn't even recognize the disc. Don't take my ratings personally I just wanted to be able to note that they weren't recognized by my Toshiba and I had to fill in the fields.
