I have only tried burning @ 2.4x for higher reliability. Package included 4 DVD+R's and one DVD+RW in jewel cases. Never burned a coaster. Works on my Xbox!! Had to remove DLA to get the (P.O.S.) HP 300i DVD burner to work. Avoid this drive if at all possible.

Great media, works well in my Playstion 2 and on my XBOX. They're just like any other Ricoh 4X disc. 50 for 50. My Sony DRU510A loves Ricoh disc, it writes the lead-in in 20seconds and finalizes the disc in about 30-40seconds.
