After much experimentation I was able to get my Region 2 machine to play Region 1 discs. Go to this site and download the file. Burn to CD-R and place in machine. You'll get a screen where it'll be self-evident what you need to do. For whatever reason on my machine you have to put in the CD prior to playing any discs from outside my region, this despite the machine acknowledging the unit is set to Region 0. Maybe there's another step to make the change more permanent? Let me know if you figure it out. http://www.area450.co.uk/images/LG5000.zip | |||
