Here is a VCD hack for the Zenith XBS444. 1-Power on the DVD Player with an empty disc tray 2-Wait until it says "no disc" 3-Press "pause", then enter 1,4,7,2. A blue screen that says EEPROM followed by two rows of numbers should appear.(You only need to modify the top row) My top row read "55 53 00 4D 14 00 6C 22" yours may be slightly different. 4-You only need to modify a few of the values. Change the top row to look like this "55 53 00 67 14 55 FE FF" 5-To change the 4 to a 6 select the 4 and then enter 6. To change the D to a 7 select the D and enter 7. To change a number to a letter select the number and hold down the number which corresponds to that letters place in the alphabet until it changes.(Example change a 2 to a F, select the 2 and hold down 6 until it changes.) 6-Change all the values until they appear in sequence like it shows in step 4. 7-Press "Pause" to exit. 8-Power Off 9-Power On Play a VCD! Note:This was a hack for a Zenith XBV342 and it worked perfectly on my player, i assume most if not all zenith dvd players are programmed the same. | |||
