VCD Hack DVD2201 US Version I tried the original posted hack (listed a second time, below for your convenience) for a UK version on my US version DVD2201. As listed it did not work for my US version. However it was easy to get going. I made one change to the proceedure and it worked. After powering on, I inserted an audio CD. Then I proceeded through the rest of the steps. Unfortunately, I did not write down what was shown in the display, so I'm trying to remember what was displayed. The "01 47" did not display, something else displayed, it may have been "01 53". The characters listed as displayed in steps 5 and 6 (see below) were similar, if not identical. After I turned the player off and back on again, immediately it recognized and played a VCD 2.0 disk. I've tried to input the Region Hack many times on a US version of the Zenith DVD-2201 but I haven't had any luck. Could someone email me or post here and tell me if the region hack below is the same for the US version of this machine? Thanks, Aiden. UK Multi Region Hack 1. The key to using this hack is to press the sequence rapidly. The UK versions are valid here in the US but you need to do them quickly. I just used both and they work fine for my DVD. Keep the world free from propritary money grubbers... tell all your friends. |
