The zone is selected by pressing the 'Skip >>|' button on the top right front of the player. Power down the player from On to Standby (the button on the left front of the player). Then press the 'Skip >>|' button a number of times to match the region number. (ie press once for region 1, press twice for region 2, etc). Now power the player back on again with the 'On/Standby' button. The player is behaving as a player for the region you selected. | |||

to hack this dvd player you have to= put the player in standby and just press 1 or 2 for region 1 or region 2 and then just turn it on.! | |||

Ok, After a 4 year old got hold of the remote..... Nothing played...Zilch...so 2 days of surfing and the Panasonic A350 is basically the same unit as the Yamaha s700 so I used this combination and set 5001 for region "0" and now my DVD player works again. I had to reset the unit to factory default, by pressing the pause II button and fast rewind << whilst turning off the power. 'INITALIZED' came up on the screen, I then reprogrammed the speakers, english language default, subtitles, Unlock code for security level on discs (eg. Porn , so the kids can't watch it). turned the unit off. then ran through this sequence:- With no disk inserted. Press the following keys on the remote: Setup 4 10 8 8 7 3 Press: 5001 (for Region free) or 5002 (for region2) Select Select This message will come on the screen: OUTPUT:INITIALIZED Then trial a disk | |||
