	Turn on the device Eject the tray Press 8,1,3,2,8 on the remote You'll get a menu that lets you select (by repeatedly pressing the 'enter' button) a region. Region 9 is region-free.

	BTW: This hack allows SVCDs to play! The unit would not play them before the hack!

	The hack for this player also works on the Venturer STS77 which I guess is just an update of the STS75.

Region 9 is region-free. ------------------- I can also confirm that this hack works for Venturer STS82, which is a budget Home Theatre System (sold in Canada for $199 at various stores, including Loblaws and some Wal-Marts.) The most interesting thing is that STS82 does NOT play VCDs or SVCDs prior to applying this hack. After you enter this hack, though, everything will play just fine. Have not tested raw MPEG files, to see if they also work, but finalized VCDs and SVCDs play perfectly.
