The hack is as previously stated for other Venturer players 1 Open Tray 2 press 81328 3 press ENTER to scroll through regions select 9 4 as the remote has no enter key press MENU 5 Close the tray This hack also works on the similar PVS 1760 which was sold in Woolworths, the difference between this and the PS166W seems to be (according to the box & manual) that the PVS1760 can play VCD & SVCD as well After using the hack it played both region 1 & 2 Ok and the VCD playback was unaffected | |||

Yes just bought this Venturer model number PVS166W tried VCD and SVCD and they didn't work then tried the Hack from robred and now its multi-region and NOW plays vcd and svcd you must put code in first to get all discs to work Thanks | |||
