NalleBjörn can confirm that the following hack worked on Toshiba SD-6100KU2 (HDMI Output) purchased at Best Buy on November 27th, 2009. The sticker on the back of the player indicates that it was manufactured June of 2009. 1. Power on the DVD player 2. Press the Open/close button on your remote control to open the drive tray; remove any disk and leave the tray open. 3. Press 2403960 then 9 for multi-region playback (or any region number 1-6 it seems). You will *NOT* see any displays indicating that you have entered any numbers! (After the hack when changing the region codes around the set region code will now display where it didn't on the first time hack). 5. The player is now region free !!! After the hack it was verified that the player would play disks with regions 0, 1, 2, and 4 (other regions not tested). Enjoy! As a side note, it seems that you can dynamically change the region code without having to turn on or off the player, just have it on with the drive tray open ;) | |||
