The hack for SD240 works for the SD2960 as well, because SD240 is the UK equivalent for SD2960. It comes with remote hackable regions as standard. I managed to change my region 3 SD2960 to region 9 (which is multi-region). Have tried Region 4 dvds and region 3 dvds and vcds since I changed it and everything works fine! Doesn’t seem to have had any adverse effects on anything else too. Good luck with yours! As with SD240, 1. Switch on your TV and turn it to DVD mode 2. Press 'Open/Close' on your DVD remote to open disc tray 3. With your DVD remote, press '2403960' (it should appear as a series of dashes on your TV screen) 4. Press 'Enter' on your DVD remote and toggle to the region that you want (Region 9 is multi-region) 5. Press 'Open/Close' again to close the disc tray 6. Power off the DVD player. Power on the DVD player. Note: It is important to use your original Toshiba remote control for this to work. I tried using my TV remote the first time but it didn't work |
