On the SD-290J the hack for the SD280E worked just fine To determine chipset: - Power On Player without disk in tray - "No Disc" Message appears - Press 000 - A Message showing Chipset ZRXX966 (Zoran Vaddis 9-66), manufacturer (TSB) and RC (02) should appear If this doesn't work, you may have a different chipset or at least chipset version and hack may or may not work for you... The Hack Procedure: - Power On - Open Tray - Press 9879 0 (0 stands for Multiregion, you may press buttons 1 to 6 to choose a specific region) - A Message appears stating that "The Reg.No was changed to: [insert whatever region (0-6) you selected here]" That's all, now you can watch every DVD you please... :) Additional Information: To get further info on your player do the following: - Power On - Open Tray - Press 966 - This should show a screen listing RC, Firmware- and OS-Version, Manufacturer Label, etc. |
