This may work for other factory set region players? But I know it does work for my factory coded Region 4 to play Region 1 and 2 discs, + you only have to do it once. :) Insert Region 1 disc and allow it to play. When the "Cannot Play" msg appears complete the following... (on the remote) Press "Memory" Highlight "T" and press "1" Highlight "C" and enter "1" Press "Play" Press "Clear" (this clears the memory when playing the disc so it doesn't stop after each chapter) Note: for SDK330 and SD200E models, the letter D appears on screen. Ignore this and move on to highlighting the letter "T" | |||

I have noticed that the hack mentioned above works for any region with the RCE protection ON. This hack seems to disable the protection. With non-region 4 DVDs with RCE protection OFF, this hack does nothing. A "disc error" message comes up on screen. Try decryping the files and burning back to DVD-R using CloneDVD. Works well. | |||
