	1. Turn on the player without a disc inside 2. Wait for the menu 3. Using the remote enter the following code: 1, 6, 7, 1, 9. 4. Chose region (0 for all regions). 5. Turn the player off!

	Just as the below says, 16719 a pop up screen appears, select 0 for all. you have to be fairly quick because it disappears on its own. this works.

	Version 231 /E : -Power UP -Use no Disc or keep tray open -Use own remote :press: 1 AV 6 AV 7 AV 1 AV 9 AV ; watch screen: by menu should be notification about region code (displays default value) press 0 for region free (screen text changes to "ALL") press again AV and WAIT a moment. Region code text should disappear from menu. Now its working, WITHOUT power off.

	CONFIRMED! Thomson DTH231E 1.turn on 2.open tray 3.push with remote: 1, 6, 7, 1, 9. 4.choose code 0 to play all regions 5.finish! My spanish dvd player it reads U.S. dvds ---------------------- Confirmado! Thomson DTH231E 1.enciende 2.abre bandeja 3.pulsa en el mando : 1, 6, 7, 1, 9. 4.elige el codigo 0 para leer todos los códigos 5.se acabó! mi reproductor ya lee dvds americanos!
