	This worked for me on the first go. No disc in tray close tray so screen says "no disk" press setup button on remote scroll right four times to the preferences page enter 1379, a new screen will appear with the ability to change region code to 0 or whichever one you need press setup and shut off machine, turn it back on and you're ready to go

	Hi I tries this hack and it brought me to where it shows the region code but would not let me change it. Could you tell me how you get the region code to change.

	Just wanted to say thanks to James02135 and Tesco TDVD216 owner: The hack worked brilliantly except I only scrolled right once to the preference page. In answer to Meg, when my region number came up I just scrolled left and the region number changes.
