I found out that the back for SDVD6655-B works for this model too. This is it: Power on the player with the remote. Press set up on the remote. Quickly press 1,3,8,9. A new menu will appear. Use the up/down arrows to change the region code. Press ok. Press set up. | |||

Neither of these hacks worked. The first suggestion made my tv tell me invalid keys and the second hack my menu did not change as the directions said it would. I tried both several times, I just want to watch Torchwood but not pay a crazy amount for a region 1 disc. | |||

Hi, this region code should work. I tried the code on my sylvania 6670 DVD player. Okay here it is... 1. Open disc tray 2. Select numbers 9,7,3,5 3.it will show a menu. 4. Scroll down to region and press enter on your remote control. 5. It will show regions 1 thru 6. 6. Select region and press the return button on your remote control. | |||

Thanks to Erica Johnson! I used the directions and 9735 to access the regional code option on my SDVD6670 and it worked perfectly (after many failed attempts with other suggestions). | |||

I bought my Sylvania SDVD-6670 online from Walmart Canada in Jan 2020 (free delivery to nearby store). My SDVD-6670 bears the date of manufacture on its back: 'June 2019'. I tried first a France Zone 2 DVD (Les Chinois à Paris); screen would say WRONG REGION. So I consulted videohelp for SDVD-6670 : Erica's previous hack from November 2019 worked fine for me too. (I tried the 9999 and 1389 hacks mentioned earlier to no avail, before trying Erica's 9735 with instant success). So again: 1. Open disc tray with remote 2. Select numbers 9,7,3,5 (***BE BOLD as I did: continue entering even if 'WRONG KEY' IS DISPLAYED IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER after punching the first digit 9***) 3. It will show a secret menu.(PASSWORD REGION AND RATING) Choose REGION 4. Scroll up to 'REGION 0' 5. Close disc tray 6. Power OFF 7. Power ON Try a non zone 1 disc. My France zone 2 PAL disc works perfectly with beautiful image on my LG Canada TV! Enjoy. p.s.: I suspect many are deterred/fooled into abandoning their attempt by the display of the phoney'WRONG KEY' message when entering hack codes. Don't be! :) | |||
