View Firmware information screen: With the recorder on stop, not on a menu screen. press on remote; CMSKIP-1-2-3. this will take you to a page labeled "F/W VERSION DISP" this will display the current firmware version and model numbers. To exit , press the "RETURN" button. DO NOT PRESS "OK" on remote , pressing "OK" will reset your player settings. View disk manufacturer information: with a disk inserted into recorder and stoped, not on a menu screen; press on remote CMSKIP-1-2-3 to go to firmware information screen.press the rigth arrow "->" once. this will display the disk media type and disk manufacturer ID. To exit, press the left arrow "<-" once to go to the firmware display screen, then press the "RETURN" button. DO NOT PRESS "OK" on remote , pressing "OK" will reset your player settings. | |||

An number of codes are available for these Funai Dvd recorders. I have been able to display the additional menus by the following: 1) Hit CS 2) 2,5,1 then the menus appear. You will notice a selection of self test info that can be used to test the player, confirm the firmware both Front End & Back End, upgrade the firm ware as well as numerous other test modes. 3)Exiting the screens and returning to normal mode: Changing Region code: Hit CS Then 6,5,0 for all region | |||
