Just plug in ur scart lead cable into line 1 of dvd/vcr and the other terminal straight into ur scart lead input of ur TV then play | |||

With respect to previous messages, I suggest the basic Region 2 SLV 950 DVD/VCR reports 'Playback prohibited due to Area Limitations'. Simply connecting a scart lead does not enable Region 1 playback, neither does the SVL 900 remote control solution work. Thus we SLV 950 owners still await a proven and creditable Region 1 hack. | |||

I had an off the record chat with a Sony service engineer and he said the same thing. THERE IS NO MULTIREGION HACK FOR SLV-D950 I took the machine back to the shop this morning and they didn't hesitate to give me a refund. They didn't seem at all surprised to see the SLV-D950 on its way back either! Remember The Sale of Goods Act people. If the nice shop assistant tells your machine can be multiregion and it can't then you can take it back and ask for your money back! DO IT NOW! Sony have really shot themselves in the foot with the SLV-D950 IMHO. People are not going to waste their money on any manufacturers that stick to strict region coding policy. | |||
