You can use the same hack that is used for the RDR-HX series. You need to take care of the following different step: recoder need to be on and the DVD must be unit (press DVD on yuor remote). then fire the 5 keys sequence Power it off and it will be region free :) you can download from this link the pc software: http://www.selen.org/sonydvd.html (you can also refer to this post for other devices to use to send the codes: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/sony-rdr-hx750/8266 ) I'm pretty confident the trick will work on the RDR-DCx00 serie.
