Hi, ALL. DVD-player Sony DVP-NS999ES r1/r3/r2-Japan don,t have solderless upgrade (Example: PDA, DESKTOP, IRC, CD-R and etc....) in variant MULTIREGION, and NTSC and PAL-enable, and Macrovision OFF. The modification of this player is done only through special Sony-Data-service-cable and special firm software through plugs On main-board (plug CN-103) and on IR-board (plug CN-405). Hi all, After succesfully hacking my DVP-NS900V, a friend of mine asked me to do the same with his 999ES. I put the selector on the rear of the player at the 'interlaced' position and used my Palm m515 with the well known 12345 hack. After the second try, figuring out the distance (aproximately 2.5 meters from the player) I got a SUCCESS on the display and 12345 again and the 999ES was region free!! For those newbies around here: I'm talking about the PDA or laptop non-intrusive hack method accepted by al NVP-NSxxx series from Sony! Check out the other postings on the subject! | |||

I have the NS-999es. Tried to use the 1122334455 and works but I get no (success) on the screen. Can someone advise? I have a palm with tv remote loaded ver 5.5. Thank you guys!! | |||
