I tried the 11 22 33 44 55, wait, repeat hack (http://www.selen.org/sonydvd.html) and it does NOT work for this player (not even the 1 2 3 4 5 wait repeat method some others used on other Sony DVD players with success). I also tried the tray aging 12450/00000 service menu trick to no avail. Just wanted to share this so you guys don't waste your time with the above hacks. They might work with some of the last generation Sony DVD players, but NOT with the latest NS50 / NS70 / NS90. | |||

I have also tried winsamp -package from Blank Frank's site. you can find it how to run it in many other hacks reports. The DVD player does not have a stand by, however if you place it in off, it will recieve all the signals from the remote control, as if it were in stand by. The DVD player responsed to the signals sent with the IR. In fact, as stated in the how to for Winsamp, the DVD turned on and off following the 1,2,3,4,5 buttons. However, in the end, the hack did not work. | |||
