The hack on this site for the Sony NS355 works for the Sony DVP-NS38 using a 6 in 1 Kameleon remote. Standby is actualy off since there is no light when you press the power switch from on to off. Just plug in the DVD player, follow the instructions and only press the first 1,2,3,4,5 sequence once you've programmed the buttons and the DVD is off (standby), SUCESS come up on the LCD screen then do it again as instructed and the process is finished. I'm guessing this hack will work with the Sony DVP-NS36 & the DVP-NS76 as they all have the same operating system. I used oneforall kameleon URC8060 remote to make my ns38 region free. follow these steps: prepare: 1. select dvd device on remote 2. hold magic button until rabbit comes out 3. enter device code 0533 then 1. hold magic button until rabbit comes out 2. press 994 3. press magic 4. enter 3digit code from above 5. press button (1..5) program buttons 1..5 with the following codes: 1 - 189 2 - 255 3 - 095 4 - 221 5 - 079 each one seperate 6. repeat steps 1 to 5 for all keys. have it a go: 1. remove disk, put player on standby 2. press 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5 2. press 1,2,3,4,5 3. press 1,2,3,4,5 4. power up the player and text "success" is shown. | |||
