i decoded sony ns30 similar to hack for ns355 as shown problem was the codes given didnt work unless i put 00 in front of the 5 codes ie 00189, 00255, 00095, 00221, and 00079 this is because the one 4 all remote used said programme a 5 digit number for the 5 numbered buttons on the remote and when i put numbers in(with no disc shown on player ) the player showed "off" and then i repeated the same numbers then "sucess" came up a case of improvisation try this best of luck | |||

Tried this hack on the NS30 using a Dell Laptop and it worked fine. Once you have loaded the remote.txt you need to press 1,2,3,4,5 and press enter, "Success" will then be displayed Region code hack posted by Carmine Dominick, June 19 2004: No problem with the procedure on http://www.selen.org/sonydvd.html and my ns333(italian region 2). I changed the Hex '0002's' via a Eeprom programmer to '0000', didn't work. What is the line number and row number that changes the 'region code' in this model? Can a OneForAll URC-7541 be used for the DVP-NS30? If so what are the codes that should be used? Cheers in advance 8) | |||

Decided to try the technical way changing the Hex `0002`s` via a Eeprom programmer to `0000`, didn`t work, strange >:( . Then tried the OneForAll URC-7541 (one i've used in the past - 4 digit code). Selected VCR, then press & hold Magic button until VCR button flashes twice, then press 0533. :) Switch on player with no disc and use OneForAll remote. 01. Press Magic button until VCR button flashes twice. 02. Press 994 then press Magic button & enter 1891 03. Press Magic button until VCR button flashes twice. 04. Press 994 then press Magic button & enter 2552 05. Press Magic button until VCR button flashes twice. 06. Press 994 then press Magic button & enter 0953 07. Press Magic button until VCR button flashes twice. 08. Press 994 then press Magic button & enter 2214 09. Press Magic button until VCR button flashes twice. 10. Press 994 then press Magic button & enter 0795 11. Switch to Stby 12. Press 1 2 3 4 5 on OneForAll remote, comes out of Stby 13.
