I followed the same hack for the DVP 660. Follow these steps: 1. Place the DVD player into standby mode. 2. On your remote control press title 3. Then press the clear button . 4. Then press the green power button. 5. The display on the DVD Player will momentarily flash up in diagnostics mode. 6. In this mode then press the required region number on the remote.e.g. press the "0" key to play DVD's from all regions. I tested this immediatly with the region 2 DVD that would not play 5 min before this. The region 2 DVD disk played with no problems. I also tested my region 4 disks that I'm use to ..also no problems... Good Luck!! | |||

it's not working for me either. i purchased my dvp c660 from canada. so it should be for north american already. when i hit title/clr/power, i get to the blue diagnostic screen with a menu. if i enter any numbers, it will take me to that menu item. do i hit the region code (e.g. 0) before the blue diagnostic screen comes up? do i hit the region number after the blue diagnostic screen comes up? do i turn off the player (with remote? power button?) after i have entered the region code number? | |||

The Regions can go from region 2 to region 5 which is bloody useless cause anything released in europe is generaly released in australia leaving the yanks region 1 isolated from the rest of the world when it comes to this model dvd player.... and region 6 China but what comes from there that anybody would want | |||
