Use the same procedure I have posted for DAV DZ260 If you have a programmable remote control like the "one for all" when after programming it for hackin sony dvd players and the procedure is pressing the buttons 1,2,3,4,5,6 and OK button the dvd panel shows success its the same but dvd panel shows "reading" I do not remember if this time you must have the device power on instead of stand by mode like before on dvd players | |||

How to hack DAV-dz860w using a symbian S-60 phone with an infrared-port (nokia n95 n96 etc) 1: google "Psiloc irRemote" and enter the Psiloc site 2: download and install the irRemote program on your phone (it's a 7-day trial but that shouldn't matter) 3: in the program choose the following: (make sure your phone is connected to the internet to download the right devices) Add Device - DVD - Sony - DAV_Multiregion - Sony you will then get an image of a remote on your phone with few buttons. Now.. make sure you have no DVD in the drive, and that the DAV is turned on; and set to DVD. hold the phone approx 20-30cm from your DAV and press all the buttons on your phone randomly (and fast) until the display on the DAV says "Please wait", "Reading" then "No Disc" that's it. the player is now region-free. | |||
