Setting up the OneForAll remote control Note: if your controller doesn't have a 'Magic' button, use 'Setup'. Press DVD Hold the magic button until the DVD button flashes twice. Press 0533 or 20533 or 1516 to set your controller to 'talk' to the DVD player (only this code works!) Hold the magic button until it flashes twice. Press 994 Press Magic Key (don't hold) Press 00189 (if your OneForAll remote uses 4 digit or 3 digit codes, use less leading zeros) Press 1 (this sets it to key 1 - it flashes twice) Hold the magic button until it flashes twice. Press 994 Press Magic Key (don't hold) Press 00255 Press 2 (this sets it to key 2 - it flashes twice) Hold the magic button until it flashes twice. I just fiddled around with these instructions until I got the hack to work on my BDP-S4100. First of all, ONLY the code 0533 works with this hack. The 1516 code connected with my player fine, but it did not work for the hack. The 0533 code does not appear to connect with the player, but it did work for the hack. For the instructions all the way up to "Make your BDP player region free," keep the player turned off (this is the Standby Mode, by the way). When you then power up the player from standy mode with the Sony remote, wait until the "Home" display appears on the player. Then type in the 1 2 3 4 5 on the OneForAll and the "Home" word on the display changed to "Ok" This is it. If you see the "Ok" appear, you have done it! Then power off the player using the Sony remote. When you power it back on, it is region free. PS: I only have DVDs, so I'm not fully sure if the player is region free for Blue Ray discs as well.
