Hacks: 1) Open the tray 2) Type 2812 on the remote. 3) Now you'll see a menu where you can choose to enable region free AND disabling Macrovision. There is a third option for VCD, but that was already enabled. ---- Misc info: I bought this unit at Lidl in Sweden for only €43. At the first look I got quite convinced that the one who produces this unit, also produced the Dansai DVD852, which had worked for me during several years (region and macrovision free). The remotes are almost identical, but aren't compatible. | |||

Hack works on my model. FYI, the region code must be set to 9 to make the unit region-free. | |||
