Just bought new Ht-6550wm and it has a new, smaller remote WITHOUT numbers OR a "repeat" button. Fortunately, I also have a Samsung TV , so I decided to try the existing, posted crack with both remotes. The TV remote does not have a "repeat" button or "eject/open" but is set up by "Anynet" to operate basic actions on the HT system. 1.Make sure no disc is in the player 2.Turn off player(using HT remote) 3.Turn on player and open and close disc tray. 4.As soon as "No disc" is displayed (using TV remote) quickly key in your region code (no "Repeat" button needed) 5.Your current region will appear in the top right corner. 6.Quickly press "9" before it disappears (It should the code with a "9" in the corner) 7. Switch player Off and then On again. Note this Hack did not require "Repeat" button Thanks to previous poster for pointing me in the right direction. |
