The BD-E5500W hack does not work for the HT-E5500W. Has anyone worked out the hack for the HT-E5500W?

I have used the "standard" Samsung hack on four different models including the HT-E5550W home theatre with 100% success. In Australia which seems to ne a critical factor although this is unproven to a degree. As soon as "No Disk" appears on the TV screen start pressing the code for your region and then the current region will flash up. I have not had to be quick with the region free code "9" at this point and press this last digit just as the current code has disappeared. The new region code 9 then appears.

If you mean the bd-e5500 hack: -------------------------------------------- 1. Ensure that there is no disk in the tray. 2. Switch the player off and then back on. 3. Wait until the main menu page appears. 4. Press the eject button on your remote to open the tray. 5. Press the eject button on your remote to close the tray. 6. As soon as the "No Disk" message disappears from top left: 8. Press the RETURN button 9. Enter 57538 on the number pad. 10. The region code "2" should appear at the top right corner of the screen.(this just flashed on then off, so keep an eye on the screen) 11. Enter a "9" to make the player region free. 12. Power down and power up again. -------------------------------------------- I've tryed it with my HT-E5500 without success. I also tryed to change RETURN with STOP or REPEAT but it doesn't work, too. Which is the "standard" Samsung hack you have used with 100% success? |
