this is version of the region code hack worked on my v8000k which had been set to region 5. (USE THE REMOTE, AND PERFORM THE SEQUENCE OF ACTIONS AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN) 1. Press the DVD button on your remote (the Samsung logo appears)/with no disk in dvd player/. 2. Press the SUBTITLE button on your remote 3. With your remote enter the code corresponding to your current RC setting: so if you are in Russia (region 5), you enter 53814. (RC 1: 29334)not checked (RC 2: 38767(or 57538)) not checked (RC 3: 56732) not checked (RC 4: 76884) not checked RC 5: 53814 checked and worked !!! (RC 6: 24462) not checked 4.Current RC should be displayed on the top left corner of the screen. (e.g. 5) 5. Press 9 on your remote (Region free) 6. Again press the SUBTITLE button on your remote 7. Open & close the tray TWICE using your remote 8. Power off and then on the unit 9.
