1. power on with no disc, wait for "no disk" message 2. press subtitle button on remote 3. enter appropriate code for your region (see below) on remote - you'll see your current region setting on the top left corner of screen (i.e. 5) 4. press 9 on remote 5. press subtitle button on remote 6. wait about 15 seconds and power off Done. You're now region free!
