I have a DVD-V4600M which is available in Brazil I used successfully the following procedure: 1 - Select DVD mode 2 - Make sure there is no media on the tray 3 - Turn the DVD off using the remote control 4 - Turn the DVD on using the remote control 5 - Press "subtitle" key 6 - Press 7688478 on the remote control 7 - Press and hold 9 on the remote control for some time 8 - Open the tray 9 - Close the tray 10 - The DVD-V4600M is now region-free | |||

This did not work for my USA Region 1 v4600 either. I tried the '29334' code for region 1 and it still didn't work. I did find that holding down the FF and REW keys simultaneously on the player for 5 seconds brought up a screen that said "Reset OK" and "Macrovision V601". Hoping it will get someone further than I did. | |||

I have a region 1 samsung DVD-4600 player and i follow the Edmilson Barbosa's instructions and it works for me too. The first time doesn't work, but i turn off by the player button and then i turn on and then i follow the Edmilson's steps and after all steps i could see a region 4 dvd that i couldn't see before. I think the key step is to press and hold the 9 button enought time, i hold it untill the "No CD" message in the screen got vanish. So i honestly can say that the Emilson's steps works fine. | |||
