This is for the SAMSUNG DVD-SH897M but may work on the SH897. Read through all the instructions before attempting. There are some points that need to be done quickly - far quicker than it takes to read the next point so prepare yourself in advance. 1. Make sure that there is no DVD in the tray 2. Make sure you have selected DVD on the remote (Display will show DVD - default usually is HDD) 3. Press Menu button 4. Now press the following keys 29332 if you have a region 1 player 57538 if you have a region 2 player 56732 if you have a region 3 player 76884 if you have a region 4 player 53814 if you have a region 5 player 24462 if you have a region 6 player 123456 if you are already in multi-region. 5. The current region code will display on the right of the screen. It will display for a few second only. 6. Quickly before the number disappears press 9 for multi- region or other region number to go back 7. IMMEDIATELY press the 'Open/Close' button and leave the tray open for at least 5 seconds. 8. Press the On/Off button on the PLAYER. The next time you power up your player will be multi-region or set to the region number you set in step 6. | |||
