I purchased the Samsung DVD C-350 at Walmart for $40. It was limited to region #1 - US/Canada I need it for my region #2 DVD collection. After trying few methods, I finally found that it is very similar to Samsung P-191. Here are the instractions to modify regions: a. Start the DVD with no disc. b. Wait for "no disc" message on the screen. c. use the remote for the following steps: 1. Click the Repeat button. 2. Click the Fast Rewind button. 3. Click the Next Chapter button. 4. Click the Fast Forward button. 5. Click the Prev Chapter button. 6. Click the Play button. d. If you did it right, a grid of numbers will appear on the screen, some of them highlighted some not. e. Write down the higlighted numbers in case you need to restore original settings. f. For region #1 the numbers are: 3,8,19,21,22,24 For region #2 the numbers are: 2,8,19,21,22,24 g. Save the new settings as instructed below the grid. h. THe DVD will automatically turn itself off. i. Strat and enjoy. When I find the correct numbers for all-region free, I will post it here.

•Make sure there is no disc in the player. •Turn on the player (you can use remote control or front panel, it doesn't matter) •Wait for "No Disc" message to appear on the TV screen. •Press the Repeat button on remote (plain, not A-B). •Press the correct sequence of buttons of remote according to the original region code of your player (it's on the sticker on the back panel of the player). FF = fast forward, FR = fast rewind. ◦Region 2 players: FF, FR, FF, UP, DOWN ◦Region 3 players: FF, PLAY, FR, UP, LEFT ◦Region 4 players: FR, PLAY, DOWN, DOWN, RIGHT ◦Region 5 players: FF, UP, DOWN, STOP, RIGHT ◦Region 6 players: LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, PLAY, LEFT •If you pressed the correct sequence, a small white number 0 will appear somewhere on the top right of the screen. The white number 0 of the same font and size as the "No Disc" message, so don't confuse with the red "not allowed" sign that would appear when you press a function that's not available. •Turn the player off and on again, then you can pop in a DVD of any region and watch immediately. Some modifications to the instructions already provided that will enable you to modify the DVD from Region 1 to Region 2: a. Start the DVD with no disc. b. Wait for "No Disc" message to appear on the screen. c. Use the remote for the following steps: 1. Click the Repeat (not the Repeat A/B) button located next to the Disc Menu button. 2. Click the Fast Rewind button << 3. Click the Next Chapter button >>| 4. Click the Fast Forward button >> 5. Click the Prev Chapter button |<< 6. Click the Play button >|| d. If you did it right, a grid of numbers will appear on the screen, some of them will be highlighted and some not. e. Write down the highlighted numbers in case you need to restore original settings: For region #1 the numbers are: 3,8,19,21,22,24 f. To change to Region #2, use the circle/arrow keys (those that encircle the ENTER button) to make sure the following numbers are highlighted: 2,8,19,21,22,24 and to make sure the number 3 is no longer highlighted. Basically, you will only be highlighting #2 and un-highlighting #3 I found no way to use the arrow buttons to toggle down to save the new settings, but by hitting the Play button >|| you should be able to save them. It says this, but not clearly. h. The DVD will automatically turn itself off. i. Start it back up and enjoy. NOTE: The DVD will no longer play Region 1 DVDs unless you change the codes back using the same steps as above.

Region 0 Hack for US R1 Samsung DVD-C350 players available at Wallmart, Target and Best Buys! As previously posted all the instructions do work! There is a small detail with R1 Players if its not working for you... I tried everything including unchecking all numbers except "9" Thanks to all who have posted solutions! With the grid code, R1 players can play R2, but in my case I have allot of R3 DVDs as well! The small solution? (which I notice someone mention on another forum) That is... first turn your Player into "R2" with the grid code 2,8,19,21,22,24 pop in your R2 dvd, play it to see how it works- then take it out- turn the player off, then back on and follow the instructions previously mentioned. Recap: Region 2 players: FF, FR, FF, UP, DOWN You should see the little 0 pop up on the right corner. Turn your player off- turn it back on and play any DVD! I've tested it with my R1, R2, R3 and R4 DVDs, all work so far. This didn't work for me the first time because I didn't change the grid code to R2 (2,8,19,21,22,24) also, I did think about it earlier and tried it, but failed. I must have tapped the wrong key, or something out of order. Thanks to ADTC's post also, who made a point to try the codes any way. This is it! all who have the US Samsung DVD-C350 Player should turn it region free! Thanks again to all the DVD Help community for there instructions and suggestions!
